Which of the two sizes works best?

Do the fringes survive washing?

They do, provided you wash the throw in a laundry bag on a delicate cycle at 30 °C maximum, then dry it flat. Run your fingers through the fringes afterwards to settle them.

Is it warm enough for winter?

Four layers of gauze make a light, breathable throw, lovely from summer evenings to crisp autumn days. For genuinely cold nights, our fleece or flannel and sherpa blankets give far more warmth.

Can I machine wash it?

Yes, delicate cycle at 30 °C maximum, ideally inside a laundry bag to protect the fringes. Dry it flat in open air. Ironing is beside the point: the soft creasing is part of its charm.
