Why is it hand wash only?

It is how the dense flannel and the sherpa loops keep their character. Cold or lukewarm water, no softener, no wringing: press gently, then let it dry in open air, flat or hanging.

Does polyester actually keep you warm?

Very much so, and that is the point here: dense flannel and looped sherpa hold heat reliably. If you overheat easily at night, our cotton gauze blankets breathe considerably more.

Is it soft or a little rough?

Both faces are soft: velvety and dense on the flannel side, airy and plush on the sherpa side. Nothing catches on skin. Many keep sherpa against them and flannel on show.

Which size for a double bed?

It measures 150 × 200 cm: laid across a double bed it becomes a layer of warmth, and for one person it works as a full blanket. To cover two sleepers entirely, take two.

Can it stay on the sofa all year?

It is chiefly a winter blanket; its thickness is best enjoyed from October to March. For milder months, our Fringed Cotton Gauze Throw sits far more lightly on your knees.
